Impro Khayyam : Royalty Free Music

Description

This is a tribute to Omar Khayyam, a romantic and mystic Persian poet, an astronomer famous for the precision of his calendar, and a great mathematician (for his solution of cubic equations).
A very short piano music improvisation, performed in Brussels at 1999. This is a rhythmic and groovy piece, with fast tempo and great energy. As always several influences in this piece, at least jazz modal music and Arabic oriental music. It can add a touch of freedom to a video sequence..
